The All-State, All-American won his heat and took sixth nationally in the 800 meters at this year's Nike Outdoor Nationals and USA Track & Field U20 Outdoor Championships last month at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugene, where he turned in a personal best time of 1:51.30 in his heat of the GARMIN 800-meter championship. That time has the high school senior track and field athlete getting closer to making state history for the 800 meters.

Queen Creek Heat Little League Softball brings home State Championship

Queen Creek Heat fielded three strong teams across Arizona in the Little League State Championship. The All Star Minors won first place in their division as they dominated in Cottonwood with an undefeated tournament, shutting out teams in every game except one. The All Star JR Majors shined and brought home second place after a grueling five days in Bullhead City, where game time temperatures reached 120 degrees. The All Star Seniors played strong and placed third in their tournament in Tucson.

Desert Financial Credit Union seeks teacher applicants for annual Adopt-A-Teacher program

More than 30 kindergarten through 12th grade teachers will each receive between $500 and $1,500 in school supplies. In total, the local credit union will award $45,000 to Arizona educators. In 2023, Desert Financial gave back more than $150,000 to educators throughout Arizona through its Teacher Appreciation program.
