Queen Creek Unified School District's January students and employees of the month are from Silver Valley Elementary School.

Next Saturday's event will be at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH), located at 5855 E. Still Circle in Mesa. Appointments are available at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and may be made by calling 480-248-8195. Time slots are on a first come, first serve basis.

Hardt emerged victorious among seven other finalists nationwide. In his remarkable 21-year tenure at the helm of Queen Creek's track and field program, Hardt has coached over 240 meets, achieving top-three placements 95% of the time. Leading both girls and boys teams, he boasts 120 invitational victories and numerous state championships, including three for the girls team.

This year, the Queen Creek Unified School District celebrated its first National School Choice Week. Throughout the week, teachers and staff took time to express gratitude to the families who have made the choice to be a part of the local school district.

The top three winners will proceed to the regional competition, which will be at Highland High School in Gilbert on Friday, Feb. 16 at 9 a.m.

The first one will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at QCUSD district offices, located at 20217 E. Chandler Heights Road.

Kindergarten teacher Jennifer Goddard expressed how the 100th day of school is a time to pause and celebrate all that they have learned throughout the school year so far.

Twelve teams from eight school districts across the Valley, including Queen Creek High School, will work with local chefs and school food professionals to create inventive and nutritious dishes they will serve at the event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Farm at South Mountain, located at 6106 S. 32nd St.

Professionals who have completed post-secondary education, whether a certificate, license or degree, contribute to a more robust local economy, enjoy individual prosperity and see reduced social spending.
