“As we launch the Queen Creek Police Department, we must be promoting an inclusive environment for people of all abilities,” said Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice. “This certification is one example of the extensive training our officers have completed to better serve the Queen Creek community. It furthers our officers' ability to interact with autistic individuals and furthers our commitment to connect, engage and succeed together.”

Maricopa County’s most wanted: The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for information regarding the following suspects.

Here are the current numbers from this past week, beginning on Friday, Dec. 10.

"We are so grateful to the staff, students and families of the Queen Creek Unified School District and the 'Lead-out-Loud' committee," said Police Chief Randy Brice. "Today, we received essential supplies that will aid those individuals in the community that we meet and support on a daily basis. This sort of community-based leadership, participation and collaboration is what truly makes the Town of Queen Creek such a wonderful place to live, learn, play and visit."

The sheriff's office said the driver will be charged with speeding, reckless driving, criminal damage and endangerment. 

On the last night of Hanukkah, Dec. 5, Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice, Ashanti Netsanet, police support specialist, and Sgt. Shana Higgins lit the last candle on the giant menorah inside the old Queen Creek Town Hall.

On Dec. 4, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, including District 6 in Queen Creek, participated in the Shop with a Cop event, ringing in holiday cheer by giving back to the community. They provided a fun-filled morning shopping with local children to provide Christmas gifts to these specials kids while creating positive relationships with law enforcement.
