This voluntary program, which includes education for law enforcement officers, follows a model used successfully in Connecticut.

Parents, guardians, schools and teens must prioritize safety. 

Applications for police officer recruits will be accepted through Sunday, April 21. New hires are tentatively expected to start the police academy beginning in September. Upon successful completion of the academy, recruits will attend post-academy training at the Queen Creek Police Department before completing a field training program. 

Lend your voice to the conversation as Queen Creek hosts its first opportunity for youth in the community to share their needs, concerns and vision for the town. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interact with police officers and firefighters while engaging in fun family-friendly activities. The event will feature a public safety vehicle display, technology demonstrations, K9 demonstrations, tours of Fire Station 1 and other interactive activities.

These lightning detection systems include sirens and strobe lights and when they both go off it means that lightning is in the area and that residents should immediately seek shelter.

A vigil is planned for Thursday, March 7 in the Queen Creek neighborhood where Lord was brutally attacked on Oct. 28, 2023. The vigil will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 194th Street and East Via Del Rancho Road.

The School Resource Officers in the Queen Creek Unified School District exemplify how their role transcends traditional law enforcement, leaving a lasting positive impact on students, staff and the school community as a whole. Through genuine connections and proactive engagement, they contribute to shaping a safe and supportive educational environment.

In compliance with Arizona state law, the Queen Creek Police Department is sending out this notification that convicted sex offender Jimmy Lee Brown, 53, nickname JJ, is now residing in Queen Creek at 19665 E. Carriage Way.

It was played informally, with varying rules, for many decades in American cities like New York by young men in their leisure time, including volunteer firefighters. Competitive with each other in all things, fire companies often played against each other and eventually formed clubs. This led Alexander Joy Cartwright (1820-1892) to draft a set of official rules for the game in 1845.
