In addition, the department is continuing its commitment to transparency and the safety of the community. Announcing that during the first quarter of 2024 (January through March) there were 1,904 total traffic stops.

“Graduation is a time for celebration and we want to ensure everyone celebrates safely and responsibly,” said QCPD Chief Randy Brice. "QCPD will continue to deploy extra officers this weekend."

During the high temperatures, it is important to plan ahead to avoid heat-related illness. Queen Creek Fire Station 1 will serve as the donation center with the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department and the Queen Creek Police Department distributing water bottles to individuals in need. The goal is to collect 250 cases of bottled water. 

The goal of the project was to foster trust and partnership between the Queen Creek Police Department and Desert Lily Academy. Through innovative program elements and a model designed to address the unique needs of young women, the local academy helps youth build bright and meaningful futures for themselves and their community.

This is a two-step application process. Complete and submit a "Firefighter Recruit" job application with the Town of Queen Creek by Sunday, May 12 at 11:59 p.m. MST.

Zachary and his younger brother were playing in their Queen Creek pool when his brother fell in. Without thinking, Zach jumped in, grabbed his brother, who could not swim, and pulled him to the edge. He held on to his brother until his parents could come pull them both out of the pool.

This voluntary program, which includes education for law enforcement officers, follows a model used successfully in Connecticut.

Parents, guardians, schools and teens must prioritize safety. 

Applications for police officer recruits will be accepted through Sunday, April 21. New hires are tentatively expected to start the police academy beginning in September. Upon successful completion of the academy, recruits will attend post-academy training at the Queen Creek Police Department before completing a field training program.
