The Queen Creek Police Department spoke to media yesterday about its continuing investigation of the Oct. 28 assault that resulted in the Oct. 30 death of Combs High School junior Preston Lord, 16, after a Halloween party that got out of control near 194th Street and East Via Del Rancho Road. The J.O. Combs Unified School District's crisis response team remains on-call and available to offer counseling and resources to students or staff members who seek support.
