Deep Stories has announced its inaugural CRAFT event, taking place Nov. 3-4 in downtown Mesa.
CRAFT is a celebration showcasing the state’s diverse artist communities. A collective of premier local artists are coming together in a unique platform that serves to connect already thriving art communities with unique subcultures that are showcased to the public. CRAFT aims to inspire audiences with galleries, interactive experiences, demonstrations, performances with creative minds representing all forms of artistic expression.
“We’re thrilled to kick off the inaugural CRAFT celebration,” said David DeCorpo, president of Deep Stories. “This event is bringing true craftsman to Mesa with unique demonstrations while celebrating the City of Mesa’s cultural development.”
On Friday, Nov. 3, the CRAFT Walk will take place in downtown Mesa. Guests can immerse themselves in the revitalized Mesa Downtown District and support local businesses and featured artists at no cost from 5 to 9 p.m.
“CRAFT Walk is a free roaming event,” said DeCorpo. “It’s the perfect date night or family night out to meet great talented artists. CRAFT Walk will be an introduction to Saturday’s CRAFT – Life of a Craftsman Arts and Craft Concert.”
On Saturday, the community can participate in CRAFT – Life of a Craftsman Arts & Craft Show at The Post & Mesa Amphitheatre. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can enjoy live demonstrations, galleries, interactive experiences and more. On Saturday enjoy the live performances scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CRAFT Concert that will feature classic rock, alternative rock and country blues.
CRAFT has scheduled free shuttle routes transporting guests from downtown Mesa to the Mesa Convention Center and back throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We are eager to celebrate the Arizona arts and crafts community,” said DeCorpo. “CRAFT gives artists the opportunity to come together with their passion and expand eventgoers horizons by collaborating and educating guests in new and creative ways.”
The CRAFT Walk is free and CRAFT general admission is $15, free for kids 12 and under.
The Mesa Convention Center & Amphitheater is located at 263 N. Center St. in downtown Mesa.
