“Anyone who is 18 or older and wants to obtain a ‘guard card’ or needs to take the refresher to maintain a security guard license is invited to the class,” said Bootsie Martinez R., MCC Administration of Justice Studies faculty. Martinez, a DPS-certified trainer who also has a security guard license, is the class instructor.

Lane restrictions are scheduled on the Phoenix-area freeway system. Drivers should allow extra travel time, consider alternate routes as needed and use caution while weekend restrictions are in place.

Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between Broadway Road and US 60 from 8 p.m. Feb. 3 to 4 a.m. Feb. 4 for barrier modifications.
