The organization allows children ages 5 and over to read to certified therapy animals.

The two-day conference was attended by 320 students from 26 public and charter high schools in multiple school districts.

The event will take place Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and feature stories from internationally acclaimed performance artist, Zarco Guerrero. The presentation is free to the public and will be at the museum, located at 20425 S. Old Ellsworth Road in Queen Creek.

They were part of the 1,800-plus music students from around the country that performed at the festival. Students and directors, Scott Lloyd and Shannon Pizzirusso, have accomplished a lot in their first year. Their final concert of the year is Wednesday, May 10 at 6 p.m. in the Crismon Auditorium. Come see them perform and stay for food trucks after the performance.
