Queen Creek Town Council recognizes 17 Star Students this school year

Each Star Student received a gift card to a local ice cream shop, thanks to the generous donations from Bahama Bucks, Cold Stone Creamery, Dairy Queen, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.

The Queen Creek Town Council recently honored 17 Star Students during its council meetings, acknowledging local students who are helpful and considerate of others while demonstrating good citizenship, service and integrity.

Each school in Queen Creek was invited to nominate one student. This school year they were:

  • Levi Abril, Auxier Elementary
  • Jazmyne Aidoo, Sossaman Middle School
  • Bode Chambers, Queen Creek Virtual - High School
  • Hayden Cockrell, Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary
  • Samantha Evangelista, Benjamin Franklin Charter School - Crismon Campus
  • Anel Garcia, Queen Creek Junior School
  • Alex Gentilozzi, Queen Creek High School
  • Holden Granillo, Casteel High School
  • Quinn Johnson, Schnepf Elementary
  • Blaine Martin, Queen Creek Virtual – Elementary
  • Easton Mattis, Frances Brandon Pickett Elementary
  • Scarlett Parker, Queen Creek Elementary
  • Makayla Portillo, Jack Barnes Elementary
  • Kendall Prete, Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary
  • Amira Roberts, Desert Mountain Elementary
  • Maverick Taylor, Benjamin Franklin Charter School - Power Campus
  • Mackenzie Woodward, Newell Barney Junior High
