QCPD warns about dangerous 'Orbeez Challenge' social media trend

Queen Creek police warn "this prank can be extremely dangerous and can result in felony charges. The toy guns could also be perceived as a real weapon, especially in the dark. Parents are asked to talk to their children about the consequences of participating in this dangerous social media trend."

The Queen Creek Police Department is warning teens not to take part in what is being called the "Orbeez Challenge," which involves people shooting air-soft type guns with frozen water-bead or jelly bullets at people and vehicles.

According to town officials, police have responded to a dozen incidents in Queen Creek since January.
