Scammers are contacting people stating they have an active warrant for their arrest or that they missed jury duty - and encouraging the individual to resolve the issue by making a payment over the phone.
The Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) said they will never call you and ask for a payment over the phone and offer these tips:
- Never reveal personal details or provide payment of the phone.
- Hang up and contact the organization yourself.
- Report the incident to QCPD's non-emergency number, 480-358-3500.
