On June 16, Vice Mayor Jeff Brown was vacationing in Wisconsin and visited the Appleton manufacturer of Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department's new E412 fire truck at the Wisconsin fire truck production facility.
"Building a fire engine is quite the process," Brown posted on his Facebook page. "Queen Creek's replacement Fire Engine 412 is nearing completion and will soon be rolling out of Appleton, Wisconsin and making the journey to Queen Creek, Arizona. The old Engine 412 will become part of the department's reserve fleet. The new truck is expected to arrive at its home at Fire Station 2 in July."
