On Sunday, July 21, which is recognized as National Ice Cream Day, guests of Thai Chili 2 Go’s City Gate location in Gilbert only, near Queen Creek, will have a chance to win free Thai Chili 2 Go for a year. The first 25 guests in line will receive a free ice cream cup.

He currently calls Friends for Life Animal Rescue's Adoption Center home, located at 952 W. Melody Ave. in Gilbert, and is accepting visitors to pick a new family.

The Queen Creek Police Department Youth Academy is a free two-week program for Queen Creek youth between the ages of 14 and 18. Students are provided with an inside look at local law enforcement and it is a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.

A thrilling raceway experience, Drift & Drags offers an opportunity for participants to either bring their own vehicles to drift/drag or be viewers of the event. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow and the track will be hot from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Firebird Motorsports Park in nearby Chandler.

"Science of Animation is one of our teen-centric initiatives that gives teens and young adults a safe and nurturing place to explore STEAM career paths," said Lauren Pool, senior manager of science experiences at the Arizona Science Center. "Events like this are so important because it gives teens the chance to get hands-on experience with a potential career and connect with local professionals, organizations and like-minded peers."

Drivers traveling westbound on I-10 and US 60 heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport should use northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and use the Sky Harbor Boulevard entrance.
