Business leaders are invited to attend the district’s Business Partner Breakfast on Tuesday, Feb. 22, where students will be present to showcase some of the highlights from these programs throughout our schools.

Remaining market dates for the first half of 2022 are Feb. 19, March 5, March 19, April 9 and April 23.

“Anyone who is 18 or older and wants to obtain a ‘guard card’ or needs to take the refresher to maintain a security guard license is invited to the class,” said Bootsie Martinez R., MCC Administration of Justice Studies faculty. Martinez, a DPS-certified trainer who also has a security guard license, is the class instructor.

Lane restrictions are scheduled on the Phoenix-area freeway system. Drivers should allow extra travel time, consider alternate routes as needed and use caution while weekend restrictions are in place.

Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between Broadway Road and US 60 from 8 p.m. Feb. 3 to 4 a.m. Feb. 4 for barrier modifications.

The deadline for vendor registration is Feb. 17.

“Jai has been a staff and guest favorite since his arrival to the Zoo in 2005,” said Kara Schilling, curator of mammals for the Phoenix Zoo.
