"In my free time I enjoy fishing, woodworking and coaching sports. I have coached many sports for the last 25 years. I am currently the varsity linebackers coach at Red Mountain High School," Garces said. "I also enjoy building and flying drones. I spend most of my time with my wife of 23 years and my five kids ranging from 21 to 9 years old."

During the July 17 monsoon, the Queen Creek Police Department had to shut down Ocotillo Road from Power Road to Sossaman Road as SRP completed work and the town's public works employees helped clear the roadway of debris due to storm damage and power lines down in that area.
