QCPD welcomes more officers to serve community

QCPD is excited to welcome new officers Erica Vazquez and Zachary Akers to town.

The Queen Creek Police Department is excited to welcome two new police officers to the growing department, Erica Vazquez and Zachary Akers. Both officers graduated last week from the Gilbert Police Regional Academy Class 3.

"A big congratulations to all 16 officers who completed the intensive academy and will now go on to serve their communities," said Gilbert police academy officials.

Since launching the Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) at midnight Jan. 11, 2022, Chief Randy Brice has indicated that community policing would be a priority so that all his officers could be out in the community meeting with resident families of all ages.

All QCPD officers have undergone extensive training, with a focus on decision making, partnerships and community collaboration.

QCPD’s non-emergency number is 480-358-3500. For more information about the town's new police department, visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/QCPD.
