Lightning detection systems have been installed at Town of Queen Creek parks, including Founders’ Park, Mansel Carter Oasis Park and Desert Mountain Park.
These lightning detection systems include sirens and strobe lights and when they both go off it means that lightning is in the area and that residents should immediately seek shelter.
