Elsie “Grandma” Matilda Stoetzer, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away January 23, 2023 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 105. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Gustav Wagner and Matilda Milke on May 29, 1917. She married the love of her life Theodore (Ted) Stoetzer on July 17, 1937 and were married for 72 years. They had two beautiful children Linda and Ted.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Ted, in 2009; her son Ted, 2006; daughter Linda, 2018; son-in-law Eddie; 2009. She is survived by her five grandchildren Diana Lorditch (Dale Smith), Laura (Bob) Sainz, Theodore (Susan) Stoetzer, Edward (Terrie Blackstone) Hartnett Jr., Theodore (Lisa) Hartnett, and great-grandchildren: Timothy Lorditch, Victoria Brege, Robert John Sainz, Katriana Farr, Edward Hatnett III, Jacqueline Hartnett, Taylor Hartnett, and Abbey Hartnett.
Elsie was an avid pool shark and valued member of the “Cactus Chicks” pool team from Sunland Village. She was a devote Lutheran. Grandma always hard open arms and a smile waiting for her family to visit.
She will be entombed at Mountain View Funeral Home next to Grandpa, Ted Stoetzer to spend eternity with each other
