Hunter also operates The Steven Hunter Life Skills & Basketball Academy in Queen Creek, created nearly a decade ago to provide Valley kids an outlet and opportunity to learn core life values through the teachings of the game of basketball.

Superstition Fire and Medical District training prepares students for firefighter credentials. About 180 students are currently enrolled in the EVIT Fire and Emergency Services program. In addition to the new Fire I and Fire II credentials, EVIT students can earn certifications in CPR, National Emergency Medical Technician, Wildland Fire Fighter Certificate and more.

This year, the first two of three preseason games will be taking place at the Cardinals home field, State Farm Stadium. Kicking off week one, the Cardinals will take on the Denver Broncos today, Aug. 11. On Aug. 19 they’ll be going head to head against the Kansas City Chiefs and on Aug. 26 they’ll head out to U.S. Bank Stadium to play the Minnesota Vikings.

Several QCUSD elementary schools have access to a class program known as Smart Lab. This “special,” as it is called, provides students with interactive learning programs and digital resources that correlate with lessons being taught in each individual classroom.

CTE student of the year Jeremiah Poirier won Best Lighting Design for the school's 2022 musical. Additionally, nine juniors interviewed and auditioned for colleges nationwide and had over 140 callbacks.

Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year has officially opened. Open auditions are Saturday, Aug. 12 and classes will begin Monday, Aug. 14.
