Wake up to “what’s cooking” in Queen Creek this Saturday at the town's annual free pancake breakfast.

Hosted by the Queen Creek Town Council, this is an opportunity for residents to learn about what’s happening around town and how to be QC neighborly, all while enjoying a free breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 4 at the town's Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre, located at 20464 E. Riggs Road.

This year, IHOP will be cooking the pancakes and Starbucks will be pouring the coffee while town representatives share information on upcoming projects.

In addition to learning about new businesses coming to Queen Creek, upcoming roadway projects and what’s happening with the town's public safety departments, there will be several additional highlights at the event like the popular "touch-a-truck," where kids and adults can peek inside the construction, utility and emergency vehicles that move dirt, dig holes, fix traffic signals and respond to emergencies around town.

Dignity Health will also be providing free flu shots while supplies last; flu shots will be administered on a first come, first serve basis during the event.

Barrel racing and pole bending will also be taking place at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre during the event. Presented by the Chandler Vaqueros Saddle Club, guests will be able to experience part of Queen Creek’s equestrian heritage (details). There will also be an area for attendees to pet horses and chickens.
