Preston Lord memorial services scheduled for this week

As the Preston Lord GoFundMe account nears $95,000, his funeral services have been announced for Nov. 10-11. The Combs High School junior died Oct. 30 from "a severe brain injury" after being assaulted Oct. 28 outside of a Halloween house party near 194th Street and East Via Del Rancho Road in Queen Creek.

As GoFundMe donations continue to pour in ($90,506 of the recently raised goal of $95,000 as of this posting), funeral services have been announced for Combs High School junior Preston Lord, 16, who died Oct. 30 from "a severe brain injury" after being assaulted Oct. 28 outside of a Halloween house party near 194th Street and East Via Del Rancho Road in Queen Creek.

The GoFundMe account HERE was started a week ago by Preston's aunt, Melissa Lord, to help with the family's medical, funeral and memorial expenses. On Nov. 3, the Lord family announced there the following:

The Queen Creek Police Department has been seeking more information from the public, asking neighbors to come forward with any home surveillance camera footage that shows people or vehicles in the area between Ocotillo Road and Chandler Heights Boulevard and Sossaman and Hawes roads from between 6 and 10 p.m. on Oct. 28.
