Annual car show this weekend to raise funds for United Food Bank

On Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the local car community will come together as one to raise $8,000 in donations that will help support the mission of United Food Bank, based in Mesa. The event will be at United Food Bank’s volunteer center, at 358 E. Javelina Ave. 

United Food Bank, One Auto Community Movement and Radordie are teaming up to host the sixth annual oneLess Car Show this weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the local car community will come together as one to raise $8,000 in donations that will help support the mission of United Food Bank, based in Mesa. The event will be at United Food Bank’s volunteer center, at 358 E. Javelina Ave. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to stop by and check out the car show, bring items to donate or they can cash donate on the spot. Food donations that will be accepted include canned items, peanut butter, rice, pasta and whole-grain cereal.  

Those interested in participating in the car show and having their car judged will need to pre-register at unitedfoodbank.org for the chance to win a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prizes. In addition, attendees will also be able to help pack emergency food bags that are shared with United Food Bank’s 150 partner agencies and programs.

United Food Bank has provided hunger relief to people in the East Valley and eastern Arizona since 1983. As a Feeding America member food bank, the organization collects, acquires, stores and distributes food to 150 partner agencies and programs throughout five counties.
