Macayo's breaks ground in Queen Creek at Spur Cross Plaza

This will be Macayo's 11th location in the greater Phoenix area. The new four-lot Spur Cross Plaza currently under development at the northeast corner of Signal Butte and Ocotillo roads will consist of six different tenants, including Black Rock Coffee, Gina’s Salon and Fiiz Drinks. The final plat is the last stage in the subdivision approval process.

Queen Creek Vice Mayor Jeff Brown shared on social media that Macayo's Mexican Kitchen has started its build out to open later this year at the new 3.9-acre Spur Cross Plaza currently under development at the northeast corner of Signal Butte and Ocotillo roads.

The Queen Creek Town Council approved the final plat of Spur Cross Plaza back in April for Simoncre Gibson LLC and BF Foods.

"According to a staff report, the project will have direct access from one driveway on Signal Butte Road and two driveways on Ocotillo Road. Off site improvements will be completed in tandem with the onsite improvements. In March 2022, the Queen Creek Planning and Zoning Commission approved the retail center's preliminary plat," Brown wrote on his Facebook page last week.

Known for their legacy of Mexican recipes, Macayo’s provides a warm family atmosphere for their guests. Owned and operated by Kind Hospitality, they also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options.
