Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge now open at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix

Featuring the “Gonzo’s Game Winner” mocktail, recognizing D-backs’ beloved outfielder Luis Gonzalez and his game-winning World Series hit.

Square One Concepts, creators of the luxurious steakhouse Bourbon & Bones Chophouse | Bar, and its lively offspring, Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge, is now open in downtown Phoenix at Chase Field.

“This is a greatly anticipated location for the cocktail lounge," said S. Barrett Rinzler, founder and CEO of Scottsdale-based Square One Concepts. "Our Bourbon & Bones signage inside Chase Field has been prominently displayed for nearly a year and we are now very happy to say we are open and ready to host downtown patrons and, of course, Arizona Diamondbacks fans. We invite them to enjoy a different ballpark experience – let’s call it ‘bourbon and baseball!’  Our bourbon barrel picks are exclusive to Bourbon & Bones along with a curated selection of truly fine wines and other spirits, craft beers and our upscale cuisine, which we’re known for as well.”

Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge at Chase Field will be a special cocktail experience available on game days and for major concerts and events, with doors opening two hours prior on these specific dates.

“We are excited to celebrate the opening of the highly anticipated Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge at Chase Field, a unique dining experience in a fun sports setting," said Derrick Hall, Arizona Diamondbacks president, CEO and general partner. "We value supporting Arizona-born businesses that prioritize quality food and guest experiences and have enjoyed a productive, community-focused partnership with Square One Concepts.”

Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge serves a gourmet-minded patron who enjoys elegant cocktails and spirits, curated by beverage manager and sommelier, Christopher Marshburn.

Among the delightful refreshments on the menu exclusively at this downtown location of Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge is the drink Gonzo’s Game Winner, a shout out to beloved D-backs outfielder Luis “Gonzo” Gonzalez whose game-winning hit clinched the team’s 2001 World Series championship against the New York Yankees. Gonzo’s Game Winner is a mocktail of fresh cucumber juice, muddled blackberry, house-made lemonade and club soda (with an alcohol complement easily added for those so inclined).

A leisurely throwback vibe welcomes guests to relax and linger over a no-holds menu created by Executive Chef Mutaz “Taz” Fakhouri, featuring Prime Steak Crostini with sliced prime tenderloin and green chimichurri; Bleu Cheese Stuffed Medjool Dates with Marcona almonds and a balsamic reduction; shrimp cocktail; oysters; and an array of sushi such as the Buddha Roll with albacore tuna, ahi tuna, salmon, tempura fried shrimp, spicy tuna, sriracha mayo and a garlic ponzu; among other options.

The décor color palette is midnight blues and touches of rich gold, ivory banquettes, black velvet barrel chairs and contemporary high tops creating a cool, relaxing environment.

The boutique spot has space for approximately 130 guests altogether inside and out, including a relaxing patio with couches and bar-rail perches that offer a distinctive view of game and/or concert activity on Chase Field.  In short, the space provides a singularly exhilarating perspective of Chase Field, perhaps worthy of bucket lists.

Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge at Chase Field is accessible off Jefferson Street at the same entrance as Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, marked with large red structural beams leading to a private elevator lobby and a brief ride up to the restaurant. On game days, fans also can access the cocktail lounge from Chase Field’s Diamond Level.
