The successful candidate will have sales experience in sales or customer service, be familiar with CRM (customer relationship management), be deadline and detail-oriented, and have strong negotiation skills. They will take on the role of “account manager” and will be compensated with a commission and salary with “uncapped earnings potential.”

The Account Executive will “lead the charge with building sales and managing advertising accounts in Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa and Tempe,” says the posting, “A big, immediate focus area will be on Queen Creek, where we are already the leading source for local news and information with our website that we launched last September. You will also have the ability to sell into our City Sun Times market that covers Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Carefree and Cavecreek. Additionally, you will have the ability to offer game-changing digital advertising solutions to local businesses through our full-service, in-house digital agency.”

Job details of the Account Executive role include: 

  • Present and sell company digital and print advertising solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Prospect and contact potential customers by leveraging all touchpoints-email, phone, Google Meet, social media and in-person
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets
  • Resolve customer inquiries and issues
  • Set up follow up appointments to ensure great service and high retention
  • Create sales material to present to customers
