Pamela Ann Wolf, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many passed away on March 15, 2023. Pam was born in Chicago, Illinois to Deniro and Alice Sandy on March 8, 1943. Pam’s goal was to make it to 80. Her family had a beautiful 80th party and she was able to spend the day with her family sharing stories and laughter. It was the happiest day of her life having everyone she loved in one room. Her heart was full and we will carry this day in our hearts forever!

Pamela Grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. She was the oldest of five children. One of her favorite memories with her family was going to their cottage at the Methodist Campground in River Grove, Illinois. She had so many cherished memories with family and friends. She enjoyed driving through there and she loved sharing the stories from her childhood.   Pam graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 1961. She raised three children who are all proud of her. Her children always came first!  Pam worked as a Legal Secretary for many years. Her favorite place was working beside her lovely friend Shelby Boblick at McDermott, Will & Emery in Chicago. She cherished the friendships that she made along the way. Shelby is the reason Pam made her next move after retirement. She moved to Bluffton, SC that was her favorite place. She always said it was the happiest ten years of her life. She loved spending time with her little Yorkie, Bitsy. She made many friends there and her family loved to visit her in South Carolina.

Pam raised three children and she was proud of each of them. She was a very patient, kind, generous and loving mother. She had a heart of gold! Pam loved her whole family and family meant the world to her.

Pam is survived by her three children: Amy VanDyke of Gilbert, AZ; Timothy (Darnelle) Wolf of Foley, Alabama; Hilary Samples (David) of Chandler, AZ, six grandchildren: Tressie Wolf, Dakota Wolf, Christopher Wolf, Brianna Samples, Keesha Campbell and Jake Lewis. Four great grandchildren: Charlotte Terry, Beau Terry, Burkely Adams and Cameron Rice. Her siblings: Jane (Paul) Bergetz  and William Downing. Her niece who she adored: Heather Bergetz and her children Lincoln and Liam, Niece; Faith Healy; and her beautiful friend of 57 years Judy Knudsen.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents Deniro Sandy and Alice Downing, Loving Stepfather: Gardner Downing; Brother; Gary Downing; Son-in-law; Keith VanDyke, Janice Swirles her lifelong friend and beautiful granddaughter Peyton Lewis.

Pam is going to be truly missed. She was a friend to so many and always had a positive attitude and a beautiful sense of humor.

Pamela’s life will be celebrated in South Carolina with all of her family at a later date.
