Charles “Charlie” Allen Smith, 75, of Florence, Arizona, passed away on March 1, 2022 in Queen Creek, Arizona. He was born on April 1, 1946 to Frank and Aurora Smith in Tiger, Arizona.
Charlie was a fearless dreamer, innovator, thinker, and inventor who never stopped reaching for the stars. His list of accomplishments is very large even though he came from the smallest of towns. He would never pass up an opportunity to lend a hand to help anyone and made friends everywhere he went. He was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran, electrician, and a man who loved teaching, as much as playing, the game of golf. He left an everlasting memory on everyone with who he came into contact. He will be forever in our hearts and thoughts.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Lynn Smith; sons, Brent Kinser and Andy (Kerry)Smith; daughters, Carla Kinser-Hathcock and Danci Smith-Richardson; brothers; Patrick Smith, Roy Smith, Arthur Smith; grandchildren, Kaycee Harmon, Tia Beecher, Baily, Emily and Jordan Smith, great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jaymee Johnson and Iviegh Ocheltree.
An inurnment service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10:00 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85204.
