Queen Creek native Jacquelyn Quesada has been named among the inaugural class of PNC Achievers at the University of Arizona Eller College of Management.

Quesada was one of four students selected for their academic achievements, community service and student leadership. The selected students were publicly recognized at the Feb. 18 University of Arizona men’s basketball game.

“We are delighted to partner with PNC on their PNC Achievers program,” said Karthik Kannan, Eller College of Management dean and Halle Chair in Leadership. “This is a great opportunity for us to recognize the fantastic accomplishments of selected Eller students both in the classroom and the community.”

A sophomore finance major, Quesada plans to pursue a career in consulting, focused on social impact or hospitality. This year, she will serve as a summer associate at Boston Consulting Group in Seattle, Wash.

Quesada graduated from Queen Creek High School, where she was actively involved in the career and technical student organization DECA as an officer at the school and state levels. She currently serves as the director of Eller’s Expo & Showcase career fair and as coordinator for Eller Make a Difference Day. She is also an active member of professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, along with the Eller Hispanic Honorary, which provides relationship-building and networking opportunities for Hispanic business students.

“I feel very fortunate to be named as a PNC Achiever,” said Quesada. “It has been such an amazing opportunity and experience. Thank you to everyone at PNC for their kindness.”

PNC Achievers is currently active at 20 other universities in the country. The program highlights the importance PNC Bank places on education, leadership and community service, and positions the bank as an advocate for students throughout their college journey and beyond.

Joining Quesada in the first class of University of Arizona PNC Achievers are Daijon Christie from Phoenix, Ethan Hefflin from Vancouver, Wash., and Prarthana Magon, an international student from India.

“The PNC Achievers program is an opportunity to spotlight students who are making a difference,” said Eliezer Asunsolo, group manager for PNC Commercial Banking in Tucson and southern Arizona. “We’re excited to recognize well-rounded University of Arizona students with this prestigious honor.”
