QCUSD releases first look at future elementary school

The district's 10th elementary school is in its planning stages and will be located near the intersection of East Galveston Street and South Mountain Road. The school will serve K-6 students in the district's northern area, which has seen significant growth in recent years.

Queen Creek Unified School District is the fastest-growing school district in Arizona. To address the needs of the community's rapidly-growing population, the district is planning to open a 10th elementary school in July 2025.

With design work underway, the public is getting a first glimpse at what the new school could look like in a district submitted rendering.

The new construction is funded by money awarded from the state School Facilities Division, which requires an extensive qualification process and is calculated based on schools approaching their capacity. Limited funding is allocated by the state over the course of two years. QCUSD does not have bond funding for capital projects at this time. Interior schematics for the new school may change depending on the availability of resources.
