QCUSD recognizes students, employees of the month

Queen Creek Unified School District's January students and employees of the month are from Silver Valley Elementary School.

The Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) recently recognized its January students and employees of the month that are from Silver Valley Elementary School.

Silver Valley Elementary - Student of the Month

Beatrix Beauchamp - “Beatrix is a delight to have in class. Each day she walks in class with the best smile and the confidence to excel in her studies. She is a student who wastes no time at all! She comes into class, gets working on her assignments, participates and follows instructions. Because of these exemplary skills, she soars academically.

Besides being a phenomenal student, she is a great person. She is kind, friendly and always smiling. She is a down to earth student who genuinely cares about others and their well-being. As a result, her classmates see her as a leader and someone they can rely on.

She also has the utmost integrity. She is always doing the right thing and because of this others gravitate in wanting to do the same. At this age group, it can sometimes be hard to show integrity around other peers but again Beatrix always shines through and sets an example for others.

As teachers, we absolutely adore her and wish we had a whole classroom of Beatrix’s. Her family has instilled such amazing qualities in her and they shine throughout her daily life. We are so proud of her, her accomplishments and who she is as a person. We are excited to see all she accomplishes in the future,” said Amanda Balcik and Christina Cattelino.

Matthew Hernandez - “Matthew exhibits kindness, respect and integrity every day. Whether it is a peer or a staff member Matthew is always willing to stop whatever he is doing to assist.

He offers to help peers and staff every day. He pays attention to what is happening around him and is the first to offer assistance. Matthew offers to run errands, retrieve items for students who have physical disabilities or help when anyone has a big project to finish or to clean up.

Matthew shows respect and concern for others every day. If someone’s being treated disrespectfully he will stand up and call out the issue. More than once Matthew has come to staff to discuss a situation where a peer is not being treated fairly to discuss what he can do to help.

Matthew works hard every day to show integrity and honesty. He works hard, asks for assistance when needed and can be counted on to be where he should be at all times,” said Lisa Bonine.

Silver Valley Elementary - Employee of the Month

Jamie Incardone - “Our certified staff of the year goes out to Jamie Incardone! She is the kind of person that makes everyone feel comfortable. She is always helping out wherever she can, even when she is busy with her own work. She makes the students feel welcome and they know they can come to her for help. Jamie is always willing to help. She has been instrumental with helping with MTSS and embodies our core values of ownership, service, commitment and kindness. She helps discuss lesson ideas, reteach math concepts, and discuss data in a proactive way. Silver Valley is truly blessed to have her as a part of its community of educators.“

Crystal Haunschild - “There was never any question who Classified Employee of the Year would be from Silver Valley Elementary. Crystal is the best! Every student absolutely adores her, but what makes her stand out is her constant communication with teachers and staff. She always keeps us in the look and holds students accountable to the same high standards expected of them throughout SVE. She is always there when you need her. She always responds when information is needed and has great thoughts to add to any conversation regarding system improvements for students. Crystal goes out of her way to make lunch fun for the students. Her kindness and patience with all students does not go unnoticed. We are so very grateful to Crystal Haunschild and all that she does for Silver Valley Elementary School.“

Laurel Weathers - “We nominate Laurel Weathers, our PTSO president, for our Silver Valley Volunteer. She works so hard on behalf of our teachers and students. She wants the students to have fond memories and goes out of her way to put on events the students will love. She spends SO MANY HOURS looking for ways to support our school. She organizes countless events and is a dedicated parent to SVE. We can’t thank Mrs. Weathers enough for being part of our SVE family!“

Dr. Amy Kramb - “Dr. Kramb, your dedication to fostering a workplace environment that embodies the principles of respect, collaboration and growth has not gone unnoticed. Your commitment to championing the well-being and professional development of our staff has been a cornerstone in creating positive and empowering culture within our district. Your strategic approach to human resources has played a pivotal role in shaping QCUSD into a community that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through your efforts in talent development, and the implementation of progressive HR practices, you have helped cultivate an environment where every individual is recognized for their unique contributions. We genuinely appreciate Dr. Kramb and can’t say enough about how incredibly helpful she is to our entire team at Silver Valley Elementary!“
