QCPAC auditions for 'Willy Wonka Jr.' Jan. 18-20

The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center is casting all roles to be limited to 65-70 students. Anyone ages 7 to 18 years old (must be 7 by the first rehearsal) can audition for this production this week.

The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center (QCPAC) is presenting "Willy Wonka Jr." as its youth spring production and will join with Queen Creek Unified School District's (QCUSD) elementary school choirs.

Auditions for "Willy Wonka Jr." will be this Thursday, Jan. 18, and Friday, Jan. 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. Callbacks will also be on Saturday, Jan. 20, starting at 1 p.m.

Auditions will be in the choir room on the Queen Creek High School campus, 22149 E. Ocotillo Road. A map will be emailed this Wednesday, Jan. 17, to those who sign up to audition.

These performances are a great way to introduce the community to the arts. School shows are performed during the day and cast members will need to miss a total of two days of school in order to participate in these school shows. School shows are mandatory.

Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to noon. Shows will be April 19-22.

The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center is located on the Queen Creek High School campus, at 22149 E. Ocotillo Road.
