Documentary on Arizona Pickleball League to premiere April 1

The six-episode docuseries, called “Breaking Pickleball,” follows the competition within the Arizona Pickleball League leading up to the Championship Cup match.

Breaking Pickleball,” a docu-series on the first season of the Arizona Pickleball League, will be premiering with a private web release via YouTube on Monday, April 1.

“The series is very similar in style to shows such as 'Welcome to Wrexham' on Hulu, where it follows each team and its players throughout the season as they compete to be the best team in the league,” said Patrick Sullivan Jr., Arizona Pickleball League co-founder. “These pro pickleball players bring some fierce competition and it’s pretty amazing to watch.”

The underdog story follows five teams – Gilbert Gladiators, Scottsdale Scorchers, Peoria Pythons, Tempe Tornadoes and Surprise Stingers – over the course of 10 weeks until only four move on to the playoffs to find out who will be the last remaining team to win it all.
