DJ Crisco Kidd launches 'I Have a Dream Contest' for Valley middle, high school students

The contest is now through Jan. 14 at 11:59 p.m. and winners will be announced on Monday, Jan. 15, MLK Day.

Radio DJ Crisco Kidd is calling all middle and high school students across the Valley to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. this month. 

Crisco is hosting an "I Have A Dream" contest where students can submit essays and speeches that reflect on Dr. King's dream, what it means to them, and what they want to see in the world in 2024. 

Winners will get a chance to win laptops, Phoenix Suns tickets, gift cards, school supplies and more. 

The contest goes now through Jan. 14 at 11:59 p.m. and winners will be announced on Monday, Jan. 15, MLK Day.

This contest theme is “My dream for 2024" and submissions should reflect Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s "I Have a Dream" speech and what you envision for 2024.

For middle school, grades 6-8, essays should be 300 words or less, with speeches being 60 seconds or less. High school, grades 9-12, essays should be 500 words or less, with speeches being 90 seconds or less.

Entries may be submitted electronically and written. Electronic entries must be entered through the Google Form found here.
