Celebrating Love Our Schools Day in Queen Creek Unified

This heartwarming initiative allows members of the community to come together and volunteer at their local schools and celebrate the place that shapes the future of today's youths.

From landscape beautification to teacher appreciation, Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) schools received some TLC last week during the annual Love Our Schools Day event.

This heartwarming initiative allows members of the community to come together and volunteer at their local schools and celebrate the place that shapes the future of today's youths.

The projects completed during Love Our Schools Day serve as a continual reminder of the communities ongoing support and involvement in the QCUSD community.

“It allows us to bring all of our resources together,” said Jack Barnes Elementary Principal Dawn Kennaugh. “We have parents, community members, and we have students. Our business partners also have provided some supplies to make this come to fruition.”

Each school’s Love our Schools Day project varied from painting murals, writing thank you cards, chalk drawing, planting flowers, cleaning the school grounds, and other projects to beautify the schools.

Beyond the service and projects of Love Our Schools Day, this day sends a profounding message: the QCUSD community values education and is committed to providing our students with the best opportunities for their futures.
