Back to school coming up in Queen Creek

I encourage all students and their families to approach the next school year with enthusiasm and a commitment to success. We as educators can’t wait to reunite with our students and help them engage, empower and excel.

More than 14,000 students will be returning to classrooms on July 24 for the first day of the 2023-2024 school year in Queen Creek Unified.

While students have been enjoying break, many of the district’s faculty and staff have been hard at work. District administrators, principals and teachers have been preparing for the next school year with professional development, data analysis and goal-setting to further enhance the academic experience.

District operations and maintenance staff were also working diligently to prepare for the new year and an increase of students as we continue to grow. Twelve new portable classroom buildings were installed across the district, as well as an outdoor weight room at Eastmark High, and modifications to increase classroom space inside of several schools. The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center is also undergoing a remodel for its 20-year anniversary. The newly refurbished facility will reopen for shows in August.

Students and families can prepare to come back to school with the resources on our Back to School page. They can find supply lists, school lunch information, important dates and more.

I encourage all students and their families to approach the next school year with enthusiasm and a commitment to success. We as educators can’t wait to reunite with our students and help them engage, empower and excel.

Enrollment is still open for the 2023-24 school year. Visit qcusd.org to enroll today.
