American Leadership Academy Ironwood Elementary School is set to host a touching 9/11 commemoration event on Monday, Sept. 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. This event will be a poignant tribute to the heroes and victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and an opportunity to honor first responders in the local community.
The community is welcome this morning as the school will pay its respects to this significant day in American history. The event, which has grown in scale, will feature various noteworthy attendees:

Banner Air Helicopter, a remarkable aerial display in honor of 9/11.

Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department, local heroes who will stand in solidarity.

Rural Metro Fire Department, first responders who ensure community safety.

As a token of gratitude, the ALA Ironwood Elementary School Parent-Student Organization will provide a light brunch to honor the first responders in attendance. This event is the school's way of saying "thank you" to those who selflessly serve and protect the community.
"ALA Ironwood Elementary School is proud to be a part of this momentous day in our nation's history and invites the community to be part of this moving commemoration that embodies the spirit of unity, remembrance and gratitude," said school officials.
The Ironwood K-6 campus of American Leadership Academy serves Queen Creek, San Tan Valley and Florence. The campus is located at 650 W. Combs Road, just west of Gantzel Road.
