Tickets now on sale for MIM Music Theater’s Summer 2024 Concert Series

This season’s highlights include performances by Robby Krieger, the founding guitarist of The Doors; Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant; long-running big band jazz group the Count Basie Orchestra, performing with special guest Nnenna Freelon; and Grammy-winning bluegrass fiddler Michael Cleveland with his band, Flamekeeper. 

The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) Music Theater has announced its Summer 2024 Concert Series, with tickets now on sale to the public. The series, which runs May through August, includes more than 40 concerts from multiple genres and features artists from around the world. 

This season’s highlights include performances by Robby Krieger, the founding guitarist of The Doors; Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant; long-running big band jazz group the Count Basie Orchestra, performing with special guest Nnenna Freelon; and Grammy-winning bluegrass fiddler Michael Cleveland with his band, Flamekeeper. 

The Summer 2024 Concert Series also features exciting debut performances at the MIM Music Theater. Among the newcomers are Grammy-nominated blues musician Cedric Burnside, renowned Korean kayagŭm performer Seo Jungmin, American Idol winners Ruben Studdard and Candice Glover, Chris Barron of the alternative rock band Spin Doctors and Australian rock band The Church.  

Several favorites will also be returning to the MIM Music Theater, including Grammy-winning  jazz fusion outfit the Steve Gadd Band; celebrated zydeco group C. J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band; Grammy-winning country group Riders in the Sky; Jamaican ska legends the Skatalites; Japanese pianist Keiko Matsui; Grammy-winning bluegrass musician Molly Tuttle with her band, Golden Highway; and Band 2, which features Tim Ries and Bernard Fowler, longtime members of the Rolling Stones’ touring band. 

“We are delighted to present another season of incredible performances at the MIM Music Theater,” said Andrew Walesch, artistic director of the MIM Music Theater. “This is truly a remarkable lineup that features exemplary musicians from all corners of the world and offers something for everyone.”
