Spinato’s 'Magic in the Air' events to benefit troops overseas

The April 3 and April 10 events will feature magicians Chris Rose, Gary Michael Hamm and Richard Steele of the nonprofit Magicians on Mission. Founded Rose, the Phoenix-based nonprofit recruits the best magicians from North America to entertain American service members deployed overseas.

Prepare to be awestruck as Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen is hosting two “Magic in the Air” events featuring magicians Chris Rose, Gary Michael Hamm and Richard Steele of the nonprofit Magicians on Mission.

The entertaining evenings take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 at Spinato’s Scottsdale location, 9210 E. Vía de Ventura, Suite 100, and on Wednesday, April 10 at their Tempe location, 96 S. Rockford Dr. Admission is free.

The talented magicians and comedians will perform tableside magic and guests will have a chance to play “Magic Bingo” for a chance to win pizza for a month, a $350 value. The evening will also include a raffle and other prize giveaways.

Jaime Spinato, co-owner and Spinato’s director of community outreach, said the family-friendly evenings will be entertaining and educational.

“We’re a veteran-owned business, and we hope to raise awareness of the great work that Magicians on Mission is doing overseas to boost the morale and emotional well-being of our troops,” Spinato said.

Founded Rose, the Phoenix-based nonprofit recruits the best magicians from North America to entertain American service members deployed overseas.

“We believe that no active-duty member should feel alone. We are dedicated to providing high quality, engaging, and relationship-focused live entertainment and care packages to U.S. military bases around the globe,” Rose said.

As part of its 50th anniversary, Spinato’s also introduced a “Stay Golden Pizza” at the start of the year at all six locations, with a portion of proceeds benefitting Magicians on Mission. The pizza is built with carefully curated ingredients, and each bite is unique. It includes a fig and roasted red pepper base, mozzarella cheese, nduja sausage, cherry tomato confit, pickled red onion, ricotta cheese, lonzino salami, Stracciatella cheese, fresh basil, Saba Italian drizzle and gold flakes. The special pizza is available for dine in only. Prices are: Gluten Free, $20; Small, $25; and Large, $50.

“This extraordinary pizza celebrates our 50th anniversary, while doing our favorite thing, giving back to our community,” Spinato said. “It is a way that we can help bring the Spinato’s experience to our service members across the world. It is the most unique pizza we have ever created.”
