Solari Crisis & Human Services teams with Mercy Care for Arizona Department of Child Safety dispatch response

Solari Crisis & Human Services announced a partnership with Mercy Care wherein Solari will serve as the primary point of contact for receiving and processing Arizona Department of Child Safety integrated rapid response and stabilization referrals for Arizona.

Solari Crisis & Human Services (formerly Crisis Response Network) announced a partnership with Mercy Care wherein Solari will serve as the primary point of contact for receiving and processing Arizona Department of Child Safety integrated rapid response and stabilization referrals for the state of Arizona. The partnership took effect on April 1, 2021.

Previously, Solari operated a streamlined version of this dispatch function for the central Arizona region via Mercy Care and the northern Arizona region via Health Choice Arizona.

“Solari Crisis & Human Services is honored to partner with Mercy Care and the Arizona Department of Child Safety to serve the children of our state and develop services that support our communities,” said Justin Chase, president and CEO of Solari.

On April 1, Solari began leading the statewide integrated rapid response dispatch process, ensuring resolution for each referral through a collaborative approach with all integrated rapid response providers and assigned behavioral health clinics throughout the state. Solari provides 24/7/365 coverage for the integrated rapid response dispatch process and provider portal.

“Solari has been a tremendous resource in the crisis services for Maricopa County since Mercy Care became the RBHA in 2014,” said Karrie Steving, Mercy Care Department of Child Safety Comprehensive Health Plan administrator. “They are the logical choice for this important work under the new integrated health services contract for children in child welfare.”

Dr. Sala Webb, behavioral health chief medical officer, DCS Comprehensive Health Plan, said, “Our goal is that every child who enters DCS out-of-home care receives an Integrated Rapid Response Assessment to identify any critical physical and/or behavioral health needs. Solari has tested experience in the logistical coordination of such efforts and we are delighted in their continued commitment to address the whole health of DCS children and youth.”
