Solar-charged emergency panel now available in Queen Creek for public electric vehicle charging

“The station accepts credit cards or users can use the ChargePoint phone application,” said Kyle Robinson. “To charge a vehicle, it costs 27 cents per kilowatt-hour.”

Residents and visitors of Queen Creek with electric and hybrid vehicles can now take advantage of an electric vehicle charger located in the parking lot of Ted's Shooting Range, thanks to KR & ER Properties, LLC.

The Beam EV ARC 2020 is a stand-alone solar generator with battery storage and emergency power panel, the first of its kind in Arizona. The solar generator is now available for public electric vehicle charging and the emergency power panel is accessible for all emergency medical, fire and police personnel.

The system was purchased from Beam Global by Kyle and Elizabeth Robinson, owners and managers of KR & ER Properties who own the building that Ted's Shooting Range and Dive Arizona currently lease.

“KR & ER Properties, LLC purchased the system and have made it available for public charging and emergency response teams as a public service,” said Kyle Robinson.

The Beam EV Arc 2020 is revolutionary when it comes to solar generators and electric car charging stations; it is the only 100% renewable, transportable, off-grid EV charging currently on the market, according to their website. The station itself is compact, taking up only one parking lot space and requires no construction of any kind to assemble; it is held in place by gravity.

Furthermore, each station requires no permitting, no electrical work, and produces no utility bill, making it a convenient and easy option for businesses to install. The Beam EV Arc 2020 can also be used in up to 9 and a half feet of flood water and winds up to 120 mph, making it ideal for emergency situations.

Hybrid and electric car owners – including those who own the increasingly popular Tesla – are welcome to use the charger seven days a week, from 5:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. Because the generator is independent of the power grid, it can be used during the night, during inclement weather, and during power outages; it allows users to get a charge of up to 205 e-miles in minutes, rather than hours. The ease of payment and low cost also makes it an attractive option for EV owners.

“The station accepts credit cards or users can use the ChargePoint phone application,” said Robinson. “To charge a vehicle, it costs 27 cents per kilowatt-hour.”

The station is located at 18618 S. 186th Way in Queen Creek, in the parking lot of Ted's Shooting Range and Dive Arizona. To learn more about the Beam EV Arc 2020, visit www.beamforall.com.
