Queen Creek recognizes its volunteers

To help streamline and enhance the opportunities and process, the town launched a centralized volunteer program earlier this year. The centralized program includes one place for all town volunteer opportunities, a primary point of contact, background screenings for applicable positions, and options for volunteers to provide feedback.

At the May 3 meeting, the Queen Creek Town Council presented five volunteers with years of service pins. Each of the volunteers received the one-year service pin, with two of the volunteers also receiving the five-year service pin.

“We are so incredibly thankful for our dedicated volunteers,” said Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley. “We know our community has been coming together and donating their time and expertise for years – this formal recognition is just one of the benefits of the centralized volunteer program that we launched earlier this year.”
