The Town of Queen Creek has placed a focus on expanding and improving infrastructure throughout the community for many years. With that in mind, town officials announced this morning the hiring of its first Capital Improvements Director, Dave Lipinski, P.E.

Lipinski, a civil engineering professional with 24 years of experience managing the design and construction of municipal and private infrastructure projects, most recently served as the city engineer for the City of Scottsdale. During his almost 10-year tenure, Lipinski delivered projects including transportation, water and wastewater treatment and distribution, new municipal buildings and parks and community spaces. Prior to the City of Scottsdale, Lipinski worked for the City of Cedar Falls, Iowa, DMB Associates, Inc., Hunn & Associates Inc., and AMEC Infrastructure.

“With Queen Creek’s large investments in building and expanding roadways, utilities, parks and trails in the community, capital improvements are a top priority,” said Queen Creek Town Manager John Kross. “Dave’s experience will be invaluable as we continue to develop and grow our community in a smart, managed fashion.”

The Capital Improvements Department will consist of multiple divisions dedicated to streets, utilities, procurement/finance and administration, with a goal of streamlining costs and timelines for projects.
