Queen Creek downtown development manager named Economic Developer of the Year

“Jenn is such a tremendous asset for our growing community,” said Doreen Cott, economic development director for the Town of Queen Creek. “Her creativity and enthusiasm for helping our business community is invaluable as we work to grow and diversify the commercial base of the town, and in particular the downtown core.”

Queen Creek resident Jennifer Lindley, downtown development manager at the Town of Queen Creek, has been named Economic Developer of the Year, Medium Community, by the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED).

AAED is the state's leading advocate for responsible economic development and the award recognizes outstanding achievements by an individual who has made significant contributions to economic development efforts in Arizona and has demonstrated a sustained commitment to the AAED.

Lindley was presented with the award at AAED's annual Economic Development Distinguished by Excellence (EDDE) Awards during its annual Fall Forum in Flagstaff last week.

During her time with Queen Creek, Lindley has led and managed a wide variety of initiatives critical to the town’s economic success and sustainability. Examples of her projects include leading a land exchange program for the Downtown Core that furthered the vision for the Town Center Plan and facilitating the QC Together campaign that helped highlight and promote local businesses during the pandemic. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Lindley has been instrumental in helping the town implement a grant program to reimburse businesses with enhanced sanitation, employee and customer safety.

Lindley is also the co-founder of AZ Downtowns, a collective of cities and towns of all sizes that are passionate about downtowns in Arizona.
