On Oct. 23, Phoenix officials unveiled the newly restored Paul Coze mural featuring the "Phoenix Bird."
The mural was in Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 2 for decades before the structure was torn down, but it's been saved. After meticulous restoration and transport, the mural is prominently displayed now at the Sky Harbor Airport Rental Car Center.
The three panels were the city's first public art project back in the early '60s.
