The holiday spirit is alive at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch's new Après Chalet pop-up bar.
Themed after a high-end ski lodge, guests get the opportunity to immerse themselves within a snowy winter wonderland while in the middle of the desert. The pop-up bar will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4:30 to 10 p.m. until Dec. 23.
Get the perfect Instagram picture sitting on an actual ski lift chair prop. Surrounded by handfuls of fake snow the ski lift is set up against a brilliant backdrop of snowy mountains. In partnership with Veuve Clicquot, stop by the bar and try one of their signature-themed cocktails.
Curated from London’s finest Ford’s Gin, Altitude is topped with crisp bubbles and Fresh Pow is a whiskey sour topped with a snowy looking fee foam. Guests who are looking for a tequila drink can order the Maplenut made with Volcan Reposado tequila, Maraska Orahivac green walnut liqueur and Woodinville Maple. The Chateau Veuve, topped with a float of Veuve and bitters, is made with Belvedere vodka, Liquid Alchemist’s tart blood orange and Sour Montenegro Lemon.
Other drinks include the traditional Forghetti Borghetti ski shots, a variety of draft beers and wine.
Once guests get their drinks they can head out of the ski lodge and sit outside by one of their multiple fire pits. Make smores over the crackling fire or enjoy their charcuterie board.

“This year, we are bringing the cozy luxurious feel of a ski chalet to the Arizona desert in partnership with one of the world’s best champagne houses, Veuve Clicquot. Guests can expect an extensive menu of themed-cocktails, a premium champagne list with glass and bottle options, and over-the-top décor for an immersive holiday experience, all to benefit a great cause.”
A portion of the proceeds from the pop-up experience will benefit Healing Hearts Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit that helps a wide variety of animals find their forever homes. Established in 2005, the foundation rescues and rehabilitates animals at their refuge ranch.
Transporting guests to a snowy oasis in a luxury ski lodge set in mountains, this pop-up experience brings the best of Christmas to the desert while also giving back to the local community.
