Johnson Ranch holiday market slated for Nov. 5 in San Tan Valley

Johnson Ranch Community Association and Florence Unified School District Community Education partnered to host this free event for the general public at Walker Butte K-8 Football Field.

Food trucks, candles, puppy adoptions, live music, gifts from local vendors – you name it, the holiday market hosted by Johnson Ranch in San Tan Valley probably has it all this weekend.

This inaugural holiday market will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 5 at Walker Butte K-8 Football Field. The Johnson Ranch Community Association and Florence Unified School District Community Education partnered to host this free event for the general public in San Tan Valley.

“(The school district) is really all about engaging the community, and that’s the same exact mission we have,” said Ryan Gurr, lifestyle director at the Johnson Ranch Community Association.

Johnson Ranch has hosted a holiday market before on a smaller scale, but this is the first time it is opened up to the general public.

Aside from the long list of local vendors and food trucks, the market also will be hosting a food drive for Over-Flo Missions. Local dance group, The Dance Spot, and band, The Acousticrats, will be performing during the market.

Want to test your luck and give back? All vendors attending will be donating an item worth at least $20, which you could win in a raffle! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Florence Unified School District.

If you (or your kids) feel inclined to write a letter to Santa, the market will have everything you need to write a note to Father Christmas – and even put it in the mailbox to the North Pole.

“It should be a really great opportunity for people to shop small, shop local,” Gurr said.

The event is hosted at 29697 N. Desert Willow Blvd. in San Tan Valley. For more information, visit johnsonranch.com/market.
