Community supports Queen Creek public safety departments working Thanksgiving

This is the first Thanksgiving for the town's police department and at 5 a.m. yesterday, Lt. Mark Newman stopped by the early morning police briefing to thank the officers who were working yesterday by dropping off some treats for them to enjoy. In addition, many in the community dropped off pies this week to show their support to both departments.

While we were all enjoying our Thanksgiving feasts yesterday with our families, members of the Queen Creek Police Department and Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department were hard at work keeping us all safe.

Firefighters were able to fry a turkey and sit down for a Thanksgiving meal together as well with all the pies for dessert that were donated by the community.
