Archaeology Mini Expo April 6 at San Tan Historical Society Museum

This will be a hands-on setting and the museum will be open so you can learn all about the original schoolhouse in Queen Creek while also getting free hands-on learning and demonstrations pertaining to local archeology and history.

The San Tan Chapter of the Arizona Archaeological Society is presenting an Archaeology Mini Expo this weekend on Saturday, April 6.

This free family-friendly event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Tan Historical Society Museum, located in Queen Creek at 20425 S. Old Ellsworth Road. Parking is available behind the museum.

Learn about the past through archaeology with fun hands-on activities that will be available, including fire starting, adobe bricks, shell etching, pottery making, site stewardship, pump drill, flintnapping, ancient weaponry, safe hiking skills and more.
