The Bistro in Queen Creek under new ownership

Tucked away in the corner of a small shopping plaza, The Bistro has been open in Queen Creek for nine years. On Friday, April 21, The Bistro officially had two new owners, Kim and Mike Mallery, a husband and wife pair who decided they wanted to work for themselves and be their own bosses.

Chances are if you've met someone for coffee in Queen Creek, you know all about The Bistro.

"That Friday was our very first day," said Kim Mallery. "It was very busy and that weekend we had a line of people out the door, so it was really sink or swim for us."

Mallery and her husband didn't announce on social media that The Bistro was under new ownership until about two weeks after their first official day. She said The Bistro's first owner stayed with them for the first two weeks to show them the ropes and introduce them to regulars. After they became comfortable with the daily routine and got familiar with the menu, they decided to announce the cafe was under new ownership and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

"It's been so nice, meeting our regulars and seeing how much they love it here," said Mallery.

The Bistro is located in Queen Creek at 22721 S. Ellsworth Road, Suite 107.
