Snip-its Haircuts for Kids, a child-focused salon and entertainment concept with two locations in Chandler and Gilbert, will open a third location in Queen Creek before the end of the year.
In December 2024, Snip-its plans to open in the new Queen Creek Crossing development, located at 20062 S. Ellsworth Road.
Snip-its Haircuts for Kids is a salon franchise with locations throughout the United States that has been operating for nearly 30 years for boys and girls, ages 6 months to 12 years old.
The new Snip-its Haircuts for Kids will be locally owned and operated by longtime Arizona residents Kim, Craig and Roger Ury, who are leveraging the opportunity of multi-unit franchising by building and opening their third location.
After operating the Chandler and Gilbert Snip-its locations for eight years, the Urys identified a need to provide a quality kids’ salon experience in Queen Creek.
“We’re so excited to bring a kid-focused, hassle-free and fun salon experience to Queen Creek for both new families and our loyal customers in this part of the county who have had to drive farther to visit us and get a quality haircut,” said Kim Ury. “We love the Snip-its brand and can’t wait to share it with this new community.”
Snip-its Haircuts for Kids differentiates itself with a colorful and character-filled environment, featuring Snips and The Gang. Defined by branded characters, entertainment, stories and a Magic Box that dispenses a prize at the end of each haircut service, Snip-its turns a traditionally mundane and often unpleasant experience into a fun-filled haircut adventure. Snip-its’ online check-in allows for same-day visits. In contrast to other online check-ins and wait lists, their same-day online queue empowers customers to choose any available time slot during the day, providing flexibility that aligns with their busy schedules.
The Snip-its stylists are kids’ hair experts who are trained on bonding and engaging with kids’ hair trends and a one-of-a-kind certification program specifically for haircuts with autistic children and kids with sensory sensitivities.
Beyond the traditional haircut, the salon offers hairstyling for important events, braiding, manicures, pedicures, ear piercings, birthday parties and a first haircut memories package. Snip-its also sells hair products for kids, toys, games, hair accessories and gift cards.
To help celebrate its opening, haircut adventures will be 50% off for the first two weeks the Queen Creek location is open.
